The TYT MD380 programming cable is a straight connection to the USB pins, and the radio firmware is programmed to be the end-point for the USB interface, rather than the more common usb to serial chip and serial to radio controller.
The radio phone plugs are both stereo plugs sized 3.5 mm and 2.5 mm diameter.
The Jaycar part numbers for the plugs are PP0130 for the 3.5mm and PP0103 for the 2.5mm, the USB A connector and cable can be salvaged from an unused USB cable. ( or you can buy one and chop it up. )
