Mt Wombat Repeater Status Updates

I have been listening to Mt Wombat since the Antenna change. I am sorry to say that it is significantly worse at Koonoomoo. I have not changed anything my end and signal strength has dropped from a 10 to a 1. Sometimes it fades out totally. Not sure what can be done about this.

Hi Peter, it was only the receive antenna that was changed, the 2M transmit antenna is unchanged, your received signal strength has nothing to do with the antenna change. so there is something else going on, I'm wondering if swinging the 6M antenna around to the south is shielding your direction from the 2M transmit antenna.

Last night around 12:30am we lost the network connection to Mt Wombat, so the IRLP, DSTAR, LoraWan and DMR connections are currently down.

There are no Telstra outages being reported for Kelvin View, so it looks like the 4G modem might have failed.

Back after a trip up the mountain, turns out the modem wasn't connecting to the telstra network, but came good after a power cycle.

Modem is now configured for automatic reset on 3 successive connection fails.

All services are back to normal operation.
