The Cat is OK no trouble ! I brought the tower up out of storage, it is now cleaned and ready for loading. The tower in its lowered state is 8.310 mt long, the pole sticking out the top is an extra 1.150 mt tot. 9460 .The pole could be removed when transporting. The transporting length would then be 8.310 mt. I think the tower would open up to about 16 mt. Guy cables are used for stability The tower is in good condition. The wire ropes should be replaced if the tower is to be re-erected .The tower is designed for tilt over and the base plate has the hinge built on to it. If the tower is to be raised by the tilt method, the new owner would need to provide shear legs to assist with the raising process. Along with the tower are two side mounting brackets ,these allow vertical antennas to be mounted offset to the tower main frame. At the present time there are two vertical antennas secured inside the body of the tower, they have been there since the tower was lowered. Two men can easily lift and move one end of the tower, so it could easily be moved around one end at a time . A tray truck could be used to transport the tower. No cats were injured during the moving of this tower. It has been suggested to me that the tower should be made available to club members at a value well below any estimated commercial value, and as the tower needs to be re-cabled I would agree. The tower has been at my place - unused for about five years . I think that it should be put back into service with one of the members having the pleasure of using it. I am ready to load the tower at a moments notice ---( for a club member ) Images attached.
