Yet another TV backlight.

I have a BIG JVC dead TV so here is the backlight mod.
It has 5 x 9 LED strips and the LED driver I purchased only went to 84V and it needs around 120V.
So, the fix is to separate the strips...

and wire all the Anodes together. A trap I nearly fell into is that the red wire is not always the Anode! Here are all the LED strips with the Anodes connected to one red wire and the Kathodes ("K" as they are labeled "A"and "K") each extended out as a white wire.

5 x LM337 ( the -Ve version of the LM317) are used and a bonus is the tab can be screwed directly to the chassis for heat sinking and -Ve supply connection.

5 of these were used and screwed down using handy tapped holes.

I am going to run this on an old 32V HP printer supply.

Each string is running at 125mA.
Some fishing line was laced across the front of the TV before the diffuser was put back. This helps support it.
So, all that is needed now is to finally wire the power supply then mount this above my work area. It is a pretty big light, around 1.2M wide.
