My old blue solder sucker has a crack in the plastic body, and I finally decided to try one of these "u-beaut" japanese solder suckers with the flexible silicon tip.
I bought it from Core Electronics. Link here.
This is easily the best value desoldering tool I have ever come across. Quality is first class. It works amazingly well. I can recommend it completely.
It desoldered the 5 way Phoenix connector in the picture below, first go, left very clean holes.
Why does it work so well? The first thing is it creates a very strong vaccum, the spring inside is pretty stiff, and the piston seals very well, the second thing is the flexible silicon tip, it seals around the joint and provides good suction. End result is it that it works better than any others I've tried.

Professional Silicone-Tip Solder Sucker
Ever go to a diner and they give you a bottle of ketchup and it says "Extra Fancy" and you're thinking to yourself "what makes this ketchup 'extra fancy' anyhow?"...
