Once more we are denied the use of the 40 mtr band.

I commenced monitoring at 7:00 AM
In the primary allocated part of the band there is two other signals, one non amateur data and another Over Horizon Radar.

The Australian one is covering from 7 MHz to approx 7.175 MHz
If you think its bad now wait when we become a class licence.

Do you people realize that we are been pushed off the amateur bands. That there is private commercial interests in doing so, that the Australian owned Over the Horizon system presently interfering on the 40 mtr band has been privatized and run by other than the Australian government. That these enterprises are seeking more of the HF bands.
Its more than just those frequencies that get used for phone services.

What are those in the ivory WIA tower that we pay $95.00 per year or the one down the RASA camping ground doing about all of this ?

Lodge a complaint to the ACMA, the more do this, better will be the chance we will be listened to.

Thanks Rob. It is a shame that people show so much disrespect for the the frequency allocations as set out . I must say that in the past few years I have heard a lot of weird noises on the 7 MHz band . On one occasion the whole band was filled with a sort of musical teletype sound there must have been about twenty transmissions across the band .The radar is an insult. Would it be possible to construct a bolt on audio unit with a delay line to 180 degree phase out the pulses . the delay would allow time for triggering and synchronising of the anti phase system . It must have been done before . A bit like a noise gate, but maybe a different process . Cheers for now.
