Hantek Oscilloscope DSO2D15 fails to self calibrate

This is an issue that wasted three days of my time to find a solution aside replacing the instrument.

The DSO2000 series includes four instruments, two are 100MHz and two are 150 MHz
The C series does not include the arbitrary signal generator.

Now with the problem, I did a firmware update and the result was that the self calibration failed, having spent a couple of days searching for solutions on the web, unfortunately most information dates back to 2021 and any fix files are no longer obtainable.
I emailed support at Hamtek and zip no response.
To cut a long story short I kept looking an did find some files on Google drive.

The confusing part is that Hamtek calls their files firmware when in fact are not, but some other part of the operating system that on the information screen its called Software, the available file on their site updates this.

In this screenshot you can see the two types Software and Firmware

So the Software 1.0.3.0.0 is what got updated
But calibrator broke

After uploading the hard to find true named firmware file all returned to normal
Here is the screen shot showing Firmware now set to 3208

Really pissed off at the waste of time, had another scope on order, now its cancelled :)

There is a long thread over on EEVBLOG about Hantek firmware and various hacking tips.

Yep there is, and none of the links are active, the only one I found that was linked to google drive, it was this that provided the FW files to fix my issue, and it took me ages testing link after link to finally discover the repository that was active.

Those spots on my shoulders are of flies that used to be on me. :)
