Three Wire Broadband HF Folded Dipole Design

We had a discussion on tonight's 80 meter net, I had been looking at HF folded dipole designs, and spotted what looked like a 3 wire folded dipole antenna in one of the pictures posted by Geoff VK3FTRK, Les VK3TEX caught on to what I was looking at and identified it as a Bushcomm.
Now read on...

The Bushcomm BBA 100 was the inspiration for this design by KA2UFO.
I downloaded this PDF from http://hflink.com/antenna/ A great site for HF antenna ideas.
Here is a bit of an overview of the design

The overall length of each half is 27*0.5 = 13.5 meters. I think I can fit this with room to spare. If might try for 160 meters, that would be 54*0.5 = 27 meters per leg I might have to sling one end over the neighbours tree, or nail something to the power pole down the street. :)

Also attached is the design notes and general comments.

Hmmm. Is there not at least 3 wires running past your place at the moment .... ;)
So, maybe not just the power pole......
Get a really good low frequency range.

I must have a look and see what ex RA power resistors I may have here Ray. There may be one of use.
