I was thinking of doing a new Si5351 board with a TXCO in place of the crystal but it has already been done and kindly made public by Dhiru Kholia.

This is a 3.3V only board and the mod I was going to do would be 3.3 and 5V.
On my generic test VFO, it has the option of using the normal 3.3/5V Si5351 board or have the Si5351 and TXCO soldered directly to the main board. That worked very well as the ESP8266 controller is a 3.3V one.
A 3.3/5V TXCO version would be handy as it could run on the Arduino Nano boards I have used, but I'm thinking of switching to the XIAO ESP32-C5 as mentioned in this ...
The XIAO line of boards are quite interesting as there are a number of processors on basically the same footprint.
