**SADARC Working Bee – April 18**

We’re calling on members to lend a hand at our upcoming working bee on **Friday, April 18 10am** at the clubrooms.

With our return to the Mooroopna Scout Hall, it’s time to roll up our sleeves and continue getting everything organised and set up the way we want it. There’s plenty to do — from sorting gear and tidying up, to setting up equipment and making the space more functional for meetings, projects, and operating.

Whether you can stay for an hour or the whole day, your help will make a big difference. It’s also a great chance to have a chat, share ideas, and be part of shaping the future of the club.

Bring along any tools that might come in handy
Morning tea/coffee will be available
All members welcome — the more hands, the better!

SADARC CLUBROOMS ARE ON THE AIR!!!

After relocating back into our “new old” clubrooms , things are really starting to come together.
We kicked things off with our monthly meeting, which quickly led to the idea of a Thursday morning coffee drop-in — and not long after, Thursday evening sessions as well. Both have taken off and it’s been great to see the rooms coming to life again with regular activity.
Today was a big step forward in making the place feel like home. We held a working bee, and one of the key jobs was getting the antennas up — because a radio club without a radio shack is like a football club without a football oval — and what a success! We now have 80m and 40m on the air, and to top it off, we put out a call and made contact with a VK7 in Beaconsfield. Not a bad way to christen the setup!

Next task is getting 2m/70cm up and running
There was plenty happening beyond radio too — the kitchen got a solid clean, the roof was cleared of leaf buildup, and the paths were tidied up.

Well done All!
We are just back from a day trip to Melbourne (9:15PM) to see our granddaughter in her role as Concert Master.
I'm told what they played was music, but besides the first one. "The good, The Bag and The Ugly" theme, (that we were late for), I'm a bit unconvinced.
It was all technically very good, but not my style of music at all.
