Raspberry Pi Pico tests

I've managed to get the Raspberry Pi Pico running under the Arduino IDE by following the steps here...
It may need the latest Arduino installed first.
This is the Pico running the Si5351 frequency generator board.
Next synth version????

A good mod is to add a reset button between "RUN" and "GND" to save unplugging and replugging the USB lead each time for programming.

Here is my test code, and a short movie.

Oh, just as an extra, I converted an I2C LCD from 5V to 3.3V so it can be used on 3.3V boards.
Here is how to do that.

Hi Denys I have looked at Tomshardware site etc presumably it provides some way to load or control the pico Si 5351 it all seems to be incredibly complicated, way too much for ordinary people . I am sure that even though the whole thing is amazingly clever , for reasons of complexity it would have a low volume take up . Please keep up the good work and research cheers.

Hi Bill.
The Tomshardware site just shows how to install the Pico into the Arduino development system.
The, there will be a hand full of example included. Quite a few of the Arduino examples will run with no or minimal changer.
The Si5351 code is mine, but using the Arduino libraries for that board. The same as I used with the Arduino Nano as in the basic VFO, FM828 and the like.
I'm hoping more folk get working with the Pi Pico on Arduino so I can grab other demo code, like the OLED displays and a rotary encode interface.

Hi Denys thanks very much for the explanations. On first reading it all seemed to be very tricky. I hope we can get the hang of it one day , especially for entering various frequency bands etc. I have been very busy here with farm work . I am trying to find time to build and describe a resonance tester, I constructed a valve version years ago and it was very handy. The new project will use FETs. and I hope would work over a wider frequency range Bye..
