Meshcore Repeater up and running

I've just received my Seeed Studio P1 solar node. Haven't flashed it with Meshcore yet, it's outside charging, but that will be the next task.
I have to say that the quality of this unit far exceeded my expectations.
I already had a Keepteen D5 node, but the Seeed is an order of magnitude better in build quality.
Not a whiff of Chinesium, for those that know AvE.
I think I'll be buying more of their stuff.
The Keepteen was $125, the Seeed was $131, both from AliExpress.
Seeed sell directly through AliExpress, but you can also get their stuff from Core Electronics in Sydney, and probably others as well.
I'm going to build a Meshcore network across my end of the Strathbogie Ranges and may connect it to the main Meshcore network but that depends on what the main net traffic looks like. From the discussion channels I frequent it looks like the main net may be a novelty for the modern day script kiddies. I'm of a certain age and have no time for idiots, so if it's all trash talk I'll run my net on a different frequency.
I'm not quite ready to install everything as I'm still a but crook. Who knew that smoke inhalation and physical exhaustion were so debilitating, and why wasn't I told?
Any update on the club installing a Meshcore device on Mt Wombat?
I'll gladly donate my D5 node for 'experimentation' if needed.
Keep me posted and I'll keep you posted.

the public channel is just general chit chat (areas that are open, where new nodes are getting put up , people testing their nodes, and other misc stuff)
the ham radio channel has a bit of discussion about ham radio stuff, the hume channel has some general chit chat about the going ons with towns along the hume highway ( emergency situations, road closures and general chit chat)
the emergeny channel has only chat about emergency situations going down

you can create your own channels either public by using the # , or a private channel that requires a key, there is many private channels setup , the bonus is they use the existing mesh infrastructure but no one can enter unless they have the key, so a person in albury can chat to a group down melbourne and bendigo all using the existing infrastructure

a script kiddy - A "script kiddie" is a term for an unskilled, novice hacker who uses pre-written, automated, or off-the-shelf scripts

Also keep in mind that these " script kiddies" are the people that we need to attract to Amateur Radio and Electronics, the makers, the experimenters. There is many that have gotten into meshcore and have discovered that there is a whole new world of radio comms out there and are now interested in Amateur Radio

I'm being nice, trying to educate those that want to listen. 1W Tx is not better than 100mW if everyone else is running at 100mW Tx. Even pointed someone to the license test files to scrub up their theory knowledge.

I have been testing out a meshcore BBS , it has rooms, message system (inbox) , it allows to sync up with other bbs's, running in python on a rasberry pi zero w as it doesn't require too much power
At the moment I have it just running in house in testing phase , but so far so good
