Interesting Network Transceiver Project

This is an interesting project I came across, Ian Lee KD8CEC, same guy who wrote the Nextion Screen software for the uBitX kit radio. Has been putting together a network transceiver for digital modes like DMR DSTAR etc. He never speaks on his videos, so you have to have captions turned on.

Basically it's a Raspberry Pi with some hardware mods to attach a speaker and microphone with PTT, and a screen that plugs into the rPi header connector and the software to connect to various digital networks, basically a standalone DVSwitch.

He also has a website with more details of his projects http://www.hamskey.com/

Just playing about to get some understanding of how dvswitch works, DMR works ok, The DSTAR version is due for release in the next few days
If it looks ok, I will build up the rest of the hardware required, PTT, tuning, volume, etc.

I was curious as to how it would run on a Pi2, so here is DVPI 0.7 running on a Raspberry Pi 2B with 3.5 inch display running on GPIO header.
