Here is a Youtube video showing a cool firmware for the CYD, amongst others.
And the flashing firmware site he mentioned.
I had to install Chrome as it did not like Firefox.
I plugged in me CYD to the USB then held the boot button down and pressed reset.
Then, stepping through the selections on the site, selecting the board type, clicked "Connect to Device", setting the USB port, and then flashing the firmware.

There is some very interesting functions built in now.
So now I can play with it
