Got the approval this morning
When I was going for my advance it was a pain trying to find someone to do it, weeks of sending emails, so after I got my license to save anyone else from having the same trouble, and also thought it would be a good idea if someone in the club was able to do licensing, so I figured I would put in the application
The process was rather straight forward, In the ACMA assist panel just submit your application to become an Assessor ,you need your advance license and also a working with childrens check.
You can apply for the working with childrens check online ,with which you need to supply a passport photo which you can use your phone to take , it was a bit of a pain trying to get the photo just right the app would come back with errors of " too much shadow , too much light not enough light , camera too close to the face, camera not close enough" and all sort of other problems, but eventually I got it just right .
The approval for the working with childrens check took about 2 weeks to get processed, and as it was for a voluntary service, it was free of charge
Then just need to link your working with childrens check to the acma and wait for acma to approve it which was about another 10 days.
