I saw this posted on the uBitx Forum, and for $20 which is a pretty good deal.

What I particularly wanted to get was the classic Solid State Design for the Radio Amateur (1986) which as it happens is included in the deal in the form of a pdf on the CD that comes with the book. I understand that this book is the successor to that classic.

I found a downloadable PDF of the earlier book Solid State Design for the Radio Amateur (1986)

It's a pretty big file 161 Mb, but contains some great circuit ideas.
