Are folks out there interested in learning Arduinos?

If so, there may be a course organized soon.
The following are a good starting point..
Arduino Nano.

(with the appropriate USB lead.)

A breadboard...

Mics resistors, LEDs, caps, pots and switches..
A pair of cutters and a length of wire from a bit of telecom cable works well for connections.

Also a display is good.
I like the I2C versions as they only need 2 pins.

Here in a book (ASKManualRev5.pdf). It is a bit out of date now but still very good.

Of course, there are full kits available too if you want to go that route.
Here is a Jaycar one for example...

If you have my Basic Arduino VFO kit, that will do as well.
And any other Arduino model is ok too.

If you want to know the history behind the Arduino, here is a pretty good doco..

To start your Arduino adventure, go to https://www.arduino.cc/en/software and select the version for your operating system and down load that.

Then following the ASK manual from above, away you go!

It is looking like a bit of interest is around so some intro classes will be organized hopefully.
Please let us know if you can attend.
